WRS | Red Cross: Pakistan floods going from "bad to worse"
Flood water in Pakistan is still rising and spreading across the country as rain continues for more than a week now. More than 14 million people have been affected by the floods that have left 1600 dead, and many are in endanger of being cut off completely. Aid groups can’t access parts of the hit areas due to the weather and flood waters to help people who need water, food and some sort of shelter. The Geneva-based International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies says the situation is absolutely dire and going from “bad to worse.” Alex Helmick talks to Patrick Fuller, with the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies from Islamabad.
